Why country clubs feel that lowering the initiation and membership fees to the younger generation will help improve revenue is a complete mystery. If someone 35 year old is not able to afford a country club members what makes the club feel they will be able to afford it when they turn 36 years old.
Golfers are people also, and most people have to work, which in the economy today is a daunting task. This lends to a need for business to come first and golf second for the vast majority of the world’s golfers. It would seem that more golfers who are in business and more golf professionals would look to the internet as the biggest club in their bag. Maybe it is and they don’t know how to use it effectively.
If the goerment had its way, this would be the changes in the rules of golf.

If CHANGE is really the mission our government leaders have said we are on then they need to start whipping the mules in this train that are causing the problem and not beat on the ones who are holding up their end of the deal.
