Why take the risk of making a negative impression on yourself or on your business or lose the opportunity to make a positive impression? If true business golf is played then the intentions are clear, both players can relax since they know what is going to take place and when it will take place. This allows from the very beginning control on whether they want to play with the person or not.
Ther are going to be people who do not understand golf turn their nose up to the BGCC. Ten years ago, I tuned my nose up to the internet and now I am back not only wanting to learn more about it but now wanting to show people how to use if effectively..so you see…people can change if given a reason. Lets give them a reason to play golf.
There are more people like you and me coming online who are not based in the tech world but understand it…who’s business really is not centered around any cutting edge technology or gadget but uses it and who are not run by any former .com’ers or pioneers from the tech or gadget world.
I have just about burnt the Twitter BLOCK Screen into my monitor from using it so much now. The onslaught of new peeps setting up shop, posting nothing and then obviously letting BOTs loose to auto follow thousands of people are really the ninth wonder of the world…what a waste of bandwidth.
I was very humbled by the fact that out of all of the people on Twitter and all of the people who probably have a Manifesto, that my manifesto was the one they chose to pattern their entire department’s policy on how they will use social media in all social media channels on the internet.
There is no doubt in technology being part of helping to draw in new golfers…and I for one am very excited about it. There is a lot drawing down golf right now but on the most part the New Stuff of golf is really helping golfers, new and old, enjoy the game more.
