Low Country Shrimp Boil
This is my recipe, and I like to use Italian style sausage instead of smoked in mine, changes the flavor profile a little.
I imagine this to be served to a table of 4-6 and they can pick at it for a while while enjoying fresh brewed beer.
Mine starts by browning the cut up sausage links, then adding onion, celery, thyme and butter. After the butter melts, I add the red potatoes and water. 1/2 a cup of Old Bay or Zatarain's Crab Boil and cook for about ten minutes, then add corn and cook for 5 more minutes, then add the shrimp for a few short minutes, careful not to overcook.
Drain and spread on a platter.
