Who said Business Golf is just for cigar puffing executives? I didn’t.
Since posting the announcement this past Friday offering the first 500 members of the Business Golf Country Club Founder Memberships I have been working harder than a rookie shortstop in the AA minor league during training camp fielding questions from everywhere on what the BGCC is all about.
Many of the people making remarks see the BGCC as just being for business people. At least that is how the guys and women who use golf, or think golf is only for, recreation see the BGCC. OH, how wrong can that be. Golf is for everyone and so is business golf. The BGCC offers the best of both worlds in a safe environment.
Recreational golf is just as much a part of business golf as business golf is a part of recreational golf. I have played business golf with a customer and in a few weeks played in a charity golf tournament as part of a recreational round of golf. So, Business Golf and Recreational Golf are part of golf..and that is what the Business Golf Country Club is all about.
In today’s business world and in this failed economy there are no certainties in anyone’s job. It would be prudent for everyone who has a job of any kind to look for that backdoor to run out just in case their company loses the bar fight all companies are in for business today. Even the person working on the bottom run of the ladders of businesses need to keep an eye out for what is going on in other businesses and for job openings.
But back to that business golf issue..
It does not matter if you play golf for fun, once a year or only when the boss makes you. It is the fact that golf is a great tool to use to get to know a person better. Yaw, you know your golf buddies, but do they know that you are out of work? Or did you know that one of your buddies is being laid off. If so, are they or you able to help? Would you have even cared if he/she was not a golfer or your golf buddy? Probably not.
So, whether you play golf recreationally or as a business tool, playing golf builds lasting relationships that no other form of activity is capable of doing. That is what the BGCC is for…to house those relationships, to create those type of relationships that no other CLUB can offer.
The Business Golf Country Club is a golf community build of golfers, business people and professional golfers. Unlike other social or business groups the BGCC focuses on helping its members develop more or better business while helping golf survive. One of the main issues with golf’s survival is the unemployment of a large portion of the world. If golfers do not have an income they can’t afford to play golf, thus, there goes golf for all of us.
So the BGCC will start putting forth an effort to help those golfers who play golf recreationally and are between jobs. Even those who are not without a job and play golf as a pastime, it would be good to be prepared and be a member of the golf community just in case.
The BGCC has a wide array of members in all kinds of businesses. Being a member you have access to building a relationship with members in business industries you may be interested in. So, you don’t have to be a business executive or owner to play business golf…all you have to be is a golfer.
This is just one of the benefits of being a member of the BGCC offers. If you are interested in becoming a member go to www.bizgolfcc.com and join..it is as easy as that. Let me know how I can help
