I attending a fundraising event last evening and was introduced to SpotOn by Jacqueline Arnecke, Dallas Area Manager.
SpotOn is another customer rewards program platform, however this one has a less abrasive and less expensive approach to offering business owners away to keep in touch with their customers.
The only concern I see SpotOn has is how long they will last with not offering users the ability to sign in with their Google Account instead of the Facebook and Twitter Sign-In they currently push on people. The download to my Android Phone was a little awkward..not sure it was by design that way, but since Android is solidly connected to Google there may be a connection.
I am sure SpotOn will have a few more challenges in front of them here in Dallas, Texas. One being getting the skittish consumers to trust that their email and other usage information is not being sold to some dude named Egore. The SpotOn website sure could use a few Social Videos…and maybe a blog or two. They really need to expand their digital footprint to Google+ so they can maximize their ability to be found in the search engine.
Other than that, I’ll have to use SpotOn a few times to really tell what’s it’s future will entail. Right now, SpotOn is a nice, slick approach for businesses to establish a connection to the people who have done business with them and for consumers to pick up on some worthwhile discounts. I’ll try it out if I happen to run into a business using it. Could be worthwhile!
