So what is the deal with Social Videos? What are Social Videos?
Social Videos are videos used to tell a story or to promote something of interest in a less commercial way. They are great for placing on blog or into a blog that needs more detailed reasoning or explanation of a situation.
It’s All about Social
Since working in the KEYImage Media studio this past week I have become more and more informed on what exactly they are talking about with regard to Social Video. One thing that comes across loud and clear is they are not out to push infomercials on you….unless you want one or really need one.
KEYimage Media shares in my thinking that the key to social networking for personal or professional reasons is All About Social. Social Videos take social networking to the next level. They show the viewer who you are and what you are about. Like playing business golf, a social video will show more than what a blog or web-site can tell about the person who owns the blog site or business.
The principle behind what a Social Video does is simple.
Communicate the Why.
People don’t search for videos online to be sold something. They look for videos that will teach them something and tell them more about something they did not know. Social Video focuses more on:
- Why something is done,
- What solutions you offer,
- and less on How you perform a service.
Why Social Video?
The key to effective Social Video Strategy is to focus on building relationships with your audience and to become a trusted source of entertaining and valuable content. With today’s technology everyone can create a video, but very few can create a Social Video.
Quality Makes a Difference
You have seen the smartphone interviews and the web-cam HangOuts that leave a lot to be desired as providing a quality image of the person who is in the video. A quality social video production will help improve upon your viewers image of you and a quality produced video shows viewers you CARE.
I’ll be producing a number of social videos in the very near future to show you what they are all about and how they can be used. So, stay tuned.
Until then, let me know how I can help.
