Over the past 40 years, I have been asked a large number of questions about managing a business’ operations.
The question I am asked a lot recently is… what is the first thing I should do?
The First Thing You Should Do!
Now this question generally comes from working with business leaders who lack the experience in managing a business’ operations. Lack of experience is a huge issue for many growing companies out to hire younger managers.
Naturally, someone fresh out of college is not going to have the experience a growing business needs to keep up with its growth.
So for those newbies to the business world who made it through college to get a degree..what is the first thing you should do?
Gain Operations Experience By Hiring an Operations Management Coach
Well, getting experience is what I tell those who are in the catch 22 business recruiting cycle. How does someone get experience and get the level of education needed to be hired for a job that pays more than minimum wage?
Well, the first thing you should do when you find you are in this situation of needing someone with more business operation experience than education is to hire me.
Or if you have someone who has a high level of education in operations management but little, to no, experience, the first thing you need to do is hire me to coach them through the rough spots that they are going to face gaining the experience they will need to balance out that education.
Either way…let me know how I can help.
