Video Marketing: Vital Strategy

If you have not noticed lately…marketing today is powered by video production, meaning, video marketing has become vital to any marketing strategy.

Why? Simply put, consumers are demanding videos.  

If your business message is not delivered to your consumers then your marketing strategy is in a nosedive.

Where Things Started

Studies going back to 2016 have steadily shown video marketing leading the way in all industries.  Yes, even B2B marketing has now bowed to the strength video marketing has in influencing the C-Suites of the world.

Everything type of business from the Solopurnuer of an MLM to the CEO of a fortune 100 conglomerate has conceded to using video marketing to feed the consumer’s never-ending appetite for video content.

Yes, it is a little hard to believe that in just 10 years the way a business advertised their product or service changed from print media to the full-blown digital environment.  Just 20 years ago every business that needed to get in front of the masses had to have an ad in the now-defunct Yellow Pages advertising industry.

Where Things Are Heading

Here’s a summary of the video marketing statistics for 2021:

  1. 85% of all internet users in the United States watched online video content monthly on all devices. This means video content has become increasingly popular. (Statista.com 2018)
  2. In 2020, Internet users spent seven hours and 48 minutes per week watching videos. (Limelight 2020)
  3. YouTube is the most popular video-sharing platform for marketers. In 2020, 88% of them use YouTube. (Wyzoml 2020)
  4. 54% of consumers want to see more video content from a brand or business they support. The demand for video content is increasing. (Hubspot 2018)
  5. 87% of marketing professionals use video as a marketing tool. More businesses are including video content as part of their digital marketing strategy. (Wyzowl 2019)
  6. Videos are consumers’ favorite type of content. Consumers expect more video content. (Animoto 2018)
  7. 88% of marketers are satisfied with the ROI produced from their video marketing efforts. Companies are using video marketing to increase their sales and to build brand awareness while keeping their customers informed. (Animoto 2018)
  8. Video marketers receive 66% more qualified leads per year. This increased quality of leads is due to the quality of education video content brings. (OptinMonster 2019)
  9. Eight out of ten consumers have purchased a product or service after watching a brand’s video. (Wyzoml 2019)
  10. In 2022, 82 percent of the global internet traffic will come from video streaming and downloads. (Cisco 2019)

Virtual Sales Used Video

Every business today has to break through the Crap-o-sphere in order to be seen and video marketing is the ONLY way to do that.  Organizations like SpringBoardYouBiz.com are leading the way in showing how the days of cold calling are numbered.  

Quality Matters

Even video marketing is changing.  Studies are now showing consumers are demanding a higher quality of video production before they will view it.   

Believe it, OR NOT, that there is more to video marketing than hitting the record button on a smartphone.  Consumers are wanting to be entertained while they learn.  A sales pitch today has to be produced like a TV program. 

If the video is not at a broadcast level of video production then consumers move on until they find one.
