2 Reasons Why Video Podcasts Are Preferred by Consumers

Spotify Fans Can Better Connect to Creators With New Video Podcasts

Here are two reasons why video podcasts are preferred by consumers.

1.  Trust Building

Seeing someone on a video is much more trustworthy than just hearing them.   Facial expressions and body language tell a lot about a person’s character. 

This one strength about video podcasting is exactly why many business people prefer to NOT be on camera.   The camera exposes deception.

Consumers are more demanding of their time.  Yes, with a regular podcast you can jog around the block listening and you can listen to podcasts in your car. 

However, most consumers will still go immediately to YouTube after they listened to a podcast to see the person they were listening to. 

If they do not have a video their trustworthiness just went out the window. 

After consumers gain the trust of that person they heard on the audio ONLY podcast they will move to the rim of that person’s sale funnel.  Without a video…consumers move on.

2.  Consumers Need To See What They Are Buying

The second reason video podcasting has a better ROI than a regular audio-only podcast has to do with the consumer’s demand on seeing what it is they are buying.

Yes, a business could just produce an explainer video or a product promotion video that showcases what their product or service does.  However, in a video podcast, the product can not only be demonstrated, but questions could be answered directly to the business owner.

So, when you add the trust-building with the validation of a product’s or service’s quality, video podcasting becoming the best marketing strategy for all businesses.
