What would the internet look like without Ads popping up everywhere?
That is the question SyncLab Media is frequently starting to be asked.
Obviously, something has to be done. The volume of ads being thrown at viewers is much higher than ever before.
The guess for the actual reason why this is happening would probably have to be due to the amount of money being made from these ads.
A real quick look at Google you will see that the complaint of the growing number of ads has been going on since early 2017. What took place then is not clear.
The War Against Ads is Raging
In the last 12 months, the number of Fake News sites have caused concern that there probably are now Fake Ad businesses. There are already unknown thousands of websites that stir things up by posting millions of “Click Bait” posts.
These “aggravations” are pushing consumers to hire developers to create ad blockers and encrypted firewalls that block ads from popping up.
In retaliation, the ad creators are hiring developers to break down the ‘ad blockers’ so their ads can get to the viewers.
Pop Up Ads Today Are the Vacuum Salesman of the 1950s
This battle will go on as long as people who fall for the ads that are being pushed into their faces and BUY something from those companies.
The solution would be for people to stop buying from those ads? A better solution would be for a program that filters out ads marked as aggravating.
OH, wait..that has been tried, but the dark side of the internet takes them down.
Is The Cavalry Coming?
The word from the people I know out on the edge of the internet say there are several white hat groups working on a New Internet.
From what I have found that is closer to the middle of the spectrum of extremes, is there are experts in the tech field who say by 2030 there will have to be a New Internet created because of the rapid advancement in technology will make the way we use the internet obsolete.
Can Today’s Internet Survive Till Then?
The concern today is, the attitude of the general public is RAW. They are tired. They are exhausted from the effort it takes to find anything online that is factual and something they WANT.
As a result, there is a huge concern amongst marketing companies that the consumers are going to be even more demanding about how they review the content on the current internet.
Consumers already have moved away from the written word to now viewing mostly videos.
This move to watching more videos was a natural progression since humans trust what they can see over what they read.
Once the powers of being over the internet see that the current internet has become a wasteland, there will have to be a newer and better internet built that will be video-centric.
Until there is a New Internet, I would suggest businesses look to moving their marketing to be more Video-Centric. This will attract more consumers and will make your business ready for the New Internet…when it gets here.
