No this is not click-bait…just a question from a HUGE fan of Bad Company!!!
I was floored when after watching the Bad Company concert LIVE at Red Rocks to find they are not in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
Solid Rock Music
Bad Company rock music influenced the style of music I play.
The growling Les Paul of Mitch Ralph with his famous two-finger slide riffs took me a few years to master but still today is one of rock’s iconic “power” guitar licks.
Boz Burrell’s bass runs were far ahead of their times and now are copied by every friggin bass player.
The smooth beat of Simon Kirke on drums just made it easy for Paul Rodgers to let loose with the trademark sound of his voice.
Forty-Seven years later Bad Company’s music still moves people today.
Formed in 1973, Bad Company came to life when Paul Rodgers was looking to start anew after the disintegration of his legendary band Free.
Rodgers had met Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs who made the decision to leave the band Mott the Hoople and form a new band with Rodgers.
The duo recruited former King Crimson bassist/vocalist Boz Burrell, added drummer Simon Kirke and Rodgers Christened the band Bad Company.
Still Rockin!
Today I have Bad Company cranked up while I set up the studio at SyncLab Media. And Yes…I’ll even breaks out the air guitar a few times while I am adjusting cameras and lighting on the set.
Bad Company is the rock band that puts the Classic in Classic Rock and should be in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
Today’s line up…
- Paul Rodgers – lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, harmonica.
- Howard Leese – rhythm guitar, lead guitar, backing vocals.
- Lynn Sorensen – bass, backing vocals.
- Simon Kirke – drums, percussion, backing vocals.
OH, well…they are in my Hall of Fame and guess that is all that matters. Rock Steady…
Let me know how I can help.
