There are many things a business can do themselves and benefit from it.  However, doing your own video-centric digital marketing is not recommended. 

But yet, many business leaders think handling something as simple as video marketing is snap.  There are a lot of studies showing DIY video marketing is far more than a Snap.  DIY anything outside what the core competency of the business is actually anti-productive.

For your business to succeed in the business world of today, you need to jump on the video-centric digital marketing train, but that doesn’t mean that you should take the responsibility of your video marketing upon yourself.

In fact, in most cases, it is a much better idea to use the services of an external video-centric digital marketing agency. Digital marketing firms provide an expert service at a fraction of the cost of hiring an in-house team.

Video-centric digital marketing agencies are also able to pass an objective and unbiased eye over your marketing strategies and ensure the most successful ones are always prioritized.

By doing this, video-centric digital marketing agencies ensure you get the maximum possible return on your investment. Outsourcing also allows you to ensure your business can scale and ensure you and your employees can focus on improving the quality of your products and services.

Clearly, the motive to do your own video marketing is to save money.  However, any cost savings will be quickly be negated from the loss in productivity of the people pulled off their main job to perform digital marketing duties.

Moreover, for most small businesses, outsourcing their video-centric digital marketing makes sense on many levels.   It might take some time to find the most suitable agency for your needs, but the minimal financial commitment (compared to hiring a full-time marketing employee or a full department) undoubtedly makes it worth the risk.

Avoid taking the risk of doing something yourself with the thought of it will save you money.  In the case of video marketing, it would be better to do nothing instead of attempting to do video marketing yourself.  But, can you compete in your market without video marketing?  Probably not.
