Naturally, SyncLab Media’s core service is Video Production.
Here is an example of our latest projects.
SyncLab Media holds a high standard on producing ONLY quality videos. We know how finicky consumers are about videos and their demand for quality viewing. That is why we strongly recommend to each client they have a video-centric digital marketing strategy developed before any video production begins.
SyncLab Media video-centric digital marketing consulting tops the list of valued services we offer.
Here is how it works:
Develop a Strategy
SyncLab Media will not begin video production without a strategy being in place. When a customer comes to us for help we first will conduct a Discover review of their business plan and mission to see if they are ready for a video-centric digital marketing strategy or if there are more fundamental functions of their business operations needing to be shored up before the digital marketing will be effective.
This discovery process is what we refer to as a client’s Digital Marketing Roadmap or DMR. The development of the DMR takes several hours of pre-discovery work before the 90 minutes Discovery Session is conducted. Once all of the data and information is accumulated on how the client’s business works and their digital footprint is reviewed, their mission and their goals are then gathered. The SyncLab Media consultants will then adjourn to develop the strategy best fitting to the client’s market and business plan.
The DMR is provided to the client in a binder that is organized as a Roadmap. The SyncLab Media’s DMR covers a 12-month term and is broken into phases so the client can get a clear picture of the amount of time it is going to take and the exact costs for each phase.
The SyncLab Media Service Agreement is included for the client’s review. The Agreement highlights the financial commitment SyncLab Media is making to the client’s project and what commitment the client has to make for the entire term of the agreement.
If the client likes what they see and signs off on the Proposal then the next step is taken.
Production
Now the video production begins.
Once the DMR is signed off on it is handed over to SyncLab Media’s operation director. The Ops Director takes control of the project by first developing a Project Timeline. Once the timeline is developed it is reviewed by the production director. The production staff assignments are made and the production of the video offically begins.
The Production of a video is broken down into three stages:
- Pre-Production
- Production
- Post Production
Pre-Production – Its Meeting Time
Things like studio-time, voiceover talent, on-camera talent, technicians and engineers are scheduled and tech crews are contracted.
The Production Director will meet with his production crews to develop a rough storyboard for the video. The rough storyboard is presented to the client during the Pre-Production Meeting for approval. Once the rough storyboard is approved the script is written and any special effects graphics and music beds are selected.
The production director again meets with the client to review a more developed storyboard with the client to make sure the script, colors, images, graphics, on-screen talent, voiceover talent and location for the video meets the client’s expectations.
Once the Final Storyboard is approved by the client full production begins.
Production – Lights, Camera, Action!
This is where the magic of technology takes place to shoot the scenes for the video and computer graphic imagery is created. Once all of the scenes are videoed and motion graphics created they are passed on to the Post Production crew.
The work that goes on behind a camera is very tedious and has to be thought out way before the director calls for “Action”.
This process of capturing video for each scene of the storyboard could, depending on the number of videos being shot and the length of the video, take up to a full day.
Once all of the videos are shot, the voiceover recorded and motion graphics is completed everything is moved into Post Production.
Post Production – Nitty-Gritty
Now the show begins. The finished video comes together in post-production.
Just like a jigsaw puzzle the director and his staff will put each scene together. This could take days if not weeks to finish. This is where the quality of the video is made and is where an experienced post-production crew becomes invaluable.
Once all the scenes and their components are put together the director calls for the first review with the client of the Rough Out of the video. The rough version of the video is edited enough for the director to use to show the client how the video is going to look once it is finished. The Rough Out view is also the last chance for the client to make any changes to the video.
Once the Rough Out is approved the video goes into final production. This takes another few days.
When the video is finished it is reviewed with the client for a final approval. If there is perhaps a request by the client to make additional changes a change order is filled out and the video will go back into Final production and the approval process is gone through again until the client is satisfied.
Once the video is given its final approval it is declared finished.
But, that does not mean SyncLab Media is through.
Support
Finally, once the video is finished it is ready to be used to fulfill the digital marketing strategy. This means it is ready to be released for public view.
Depending on what was discovered in the Digital Marketing Roadmap will dictate where and when the video will be launched. Along with the launch, SyncLab Media will have relevant social media produced to draw attention to the video.
The support of the client’s social media and the digital marketing strategy…including additional videos…will be maintained by SyncLab Media for as long as the digital marketing strategy dictates. This is usually for 12 months after the video is launched.
SyncLab Media is much more than just a video production company. We have the experience in both business operations and video production to know how to listen to what the client wants and build strategies based on our experience to get the client to where they want to be with their marketing.
