Both Vlogging and Podcasting are taking off as another effective method of delivering your message to your industry.

Vlogging

OH, you think it is too expensive to do video blogging.  You are correct.  Vlogging does not come about without a budget and Videoblogging needs to be produced a higher quality to get viewers to watch.  Quality always costs more than low quality.  Don’t fall for the DIY methods unless you are dedicated to setting up a studio. Gone are the days of the webcam video cutting it with viewers.  Too many other higher quality Vlogs to choose from.  However, the costs are manageable if you have a strategy.

Maybe join with an associate who is already Vlogging and suggest co-hosted program.  Yes, it would take a special type of relationship between the two vloggers, but it is a way to split the cost of producing a High-Quality VLOG.  Video Blogs are growing in popularity on YouTube and will be just a matter of time before ROKU and other streaming platforms will pick up Vlogs to show to a greater audience than you can image.

It would be worth the investment in setting up a high-quality VLOG.

Podcasting

Podcasting has been around for almost 20 years and has fallen in and out of popularity several times, primarily due to the audio format of blogging being so far ahead of the technology needed for the masses of potential audiences to conveniently hear the podcast.  Now that podcasts can be dialed up on your radio in your car, or called up your phone, more people are listening to Podcasts than they are watching TV.

Now that Google offers a podcasting directory Podcasting will take off.

If you are starting to fill stuck in the rut with traditional blogging it could be time to try something different.  Just make sure you develop a strategy before jumping off and trying to move into these new type of media.  Make sure you have the budget to support the strategy.
