Nearly every day I get a message for a fan say… I need to tell you something! 

Sometimes it is good…sometimes it is not, but most of the time what people want to tell me is stuff you…the business owners, executives, marketing directors, and social media influencers…really need to know.  Why?  Because these people are influencers and are see things you are doing as not being very flattering. 

HashTags Are Dead

They are telling me Things like…HashTags are Dead.  A high percentage of people send me emails instead of commenting on my blogs because…like many others…don’t want to open themselves up to unwarranted retaliatory remarks that most comments get.  I don’t blame them for not commenting. 

Even though the lack of their comments do not help my case that I present to people like you about what consumers are saying about something you and advertisers are doing online that turns them off.   And…HashTags have been aggravating internet users ever since they came out.

Why are HashTags Dead and not liked by consumers?  Have you clicked on a HashTag lately?  Just pick one and you will quickly see there will always be a Spammer and Trolls just wating to greet you. 

GIF Are Nauseating

Another thing I get notice of is how much people Hate GIF’s.   You know, those short clip motion graphics and videos uninformed users post thinking they are Cute..when they actually cause a rippling effect of viewers who immediately unfollow or delete the person, place or thing, that posted the GIF from their network.  That is not want you want them to do, is it?

Poorly Produced Videos Are Killing Social Media

One of the more recent and growing Thing’s people want to tell me about is with their dislike of poorly produced videos.  You know the ones…the videos where the audio is so awful it actually hurts your ears.  Or, the cellphone videos that shake so much you get motion sickness.  What about the videos where there is no lighting so you have no idea what you are looking at but it trended on Video because one of the YouTube influencers got paid to promote it.  

Do these people know what poorly produced videos do to their image?  Do influencers know poorly produced videos are killing social media?  Obviously not since they are still producing them.

Yes, people want to tell me a lot of things so I guess that means…I need to tell you something!  Let me know how I can help.
