So, you start with this…and what do you get?
A week ago Jason Ulsrud of Factory8 Photography came by the SyncLab Media Studio 3 to take a few photos of the Management Team. The photo shoot was part of our effort to freshen up the SLM Website Bio and is the first part of a 3 part blog explaining what this photo is going to look like in a few days.
Jason is known for his creative approach to taking something ‘blah’ and making it ‘POP’…in this case..literally. However, how he goes about creating a different look was something I found extremely awesome…more of the awesome in a bit.
The question you probably have is..what the heck am I doing in the above photo?
Well, needless to say, you had to be there to really get a grasp of what I was doing. Even thought it looks like it, I can safely say I was not doing my impression of a Fred Astaire dance number. I’m actually posing for what you will see is totally ‘off the chart’ creative. But you will have to wait until Part 3 of this series of blogs to see the finished photo.
What I was doing in the photo is what I found to be the most interesting part of the process Jason goes through to do his magic. He takes the pose I was making and creates something that will look nearly nothing like this photo. So..stay tuned to see more on what this photo turns out.
So Who is Jason Ulsard?
Here is Jason’s BIO…..
I’m Dallas based Headshot and Commercial Photographer, Jason Ulsrud, and I specialize in Composite Photography.
While I have a B.S. degree in Photography and Graphic Design from Central Missouri State University, was ranked within the top 10 photographers in Missouri, won Best Young Photographer of the year, and have been published in many local and national magazines, I believe my work speaks for itself.
From the beginning I have always loved photographing people to share their personality and story through the medium of photography.
I have become known for my unique style of Headshot Portraits that don’t look like your average portrait, but my passion and my love is in creating Composite Photography that tells a story in a fun, entertaining way.
Stay tuned for Part 2 where Jason shows you a little preview of the challenges he had with my photo!!
and of course….Let me know how I can help.
