Using the internet to complain about something has been going on since the internet was created.  I am sure the first rant started over something about how lame the internet was because there is nobody using it.

Ranting is still going on today and will probably go on as long as there others who will read them or will listen.  There are some people who have made posting a rant a daily affair.  Then there are others who have made rants into a new art form.  The better rants are the ones where you don’t know you are reading ..or listening to..a rant until the last sentence or statement.

Still, rants are rants and in most cases nothing more than someone blowing off a little steam.  However, rants seem to now be part of individual’s self promotions.  Before long, businesses will start picking up on the popularity of Rants and start flooding the stream with non-stop rants.

You can search Google for nearly any subject or issue and there usually will be someone’s rant on the subject posted to the first page of the Google Search.  I am sure it is the same on the other search engines.

I understand it is good to have a well balance article to read about a subject but why are rants worthy of being posted above a article that has a more balanced discussion?  No, that was not a rant..it was a question.

Are Rants becoming part of the way something is marketed?  Is ranting the new marketing?

In some cases it would appear so.  What are your thoughts?
