12 Reasons Google+ May NOT Be Right For You

May 14, 2014 By Scot Duke

G+ OnlyHere are 12 reasons Why Google+ May Not be for You:

▶ You don’t like to interacting with smarter people.
▶ You prefer old school promotional marketing
▶ Your perspective on marketing is it has to be all about you and not about your audience.
▶ You dislike helping anyone.
▶ You think online marketing is for stupid people.
▶ You feel Cold Calling is where it’s really at.
▶ You think winning is more important than collaborating.
▶ You think because you are brilliant, customers will come.
▶ You think you are smarter than everyone else.
▶ You think a Radio or TV commercial is the most cost effective way to spend your marketing dollars.
▶ You think a blog is a waste of time.
▶ You think internet marketing is for someone who doesn’t provide a good service.

Too Many Misguided Social Mediaist

Too many people who are misguided to Google+’s true value simply discount what Google can do for their social and professional digital footprint .  Most all will develop unreal excuses why they will not use Google+.

The fact is, many of these people have spent too much of their financial resources fooling themselves into thinking social media and Google+ are just a fade.  So to keep face in their social community they take a defensive position to a losing battle by defending what they say is the way it really is.

Google+ has over and over again proven it can develop a more positive social experience than other social spaces. This experience can benefit people only out to interact with other people as well as create a productive environment for businesses who understand that social media is playing a bigger part of their marketing plan.

No Excuse for Not Using Google+

So, why do people keep making excuses to why they don’t use Google+?

My studies show the negative comments made about Google+ have to do more with people feeling they would be alienated from what they feel are more productive networks or communities than being based on logic.  The truth to the matter is, 8 out 1o people who come up with an excuse on why Google+ is not their main or only social space are just too lazy to try it.

Most of the marketing people who missed the boat on the launch of Google+ feel they have a reputation to uphold as an expert in Marketing.   Supporting Google+ would cause them to lose face amongst their clients especially after just selling them a very expensive Facebook Ad campaign.

To stop and find someone who knows how to use Google+ to understand why they need to be using Google+ would admit to their clients they are not experts at marketing.

Stop Making Excuses

I suggest ..or highly recommend, to those of you who are out on Twitter and Facebook thinking that the tens of thousands of people Following you are real people;

  1. Start your phase out process of the other social spaces now.
  2. Find someone to walk you through and support you on learning what Google+ is all about.

Google+ is right for everyone and is by far the safest and most productive social space anywhere on the internet.  I have been on all of the social spaces since they began and have not seen or found validated proof the other spaces can produce anything near what Google+ can deliver.

If you are going to take what you do and what your clients do seriously you need to stop making excuses on why you are not using Google+.  I have overwhelmingly found that if you are out to market yourself, socialize with real people and take your time on earth seriously, Google+ is by far the only place to be.

Let me know how I can help.
