Google+ Events have been around for sometime now.  However, many people know little about them or how to use them.  Businesses know even less primarily because..well..they don’t know, don’t understand, don’t care or don’t have a clue of the power Google+ has on their digital footprint.

Most businesses just glance over the tools G+ has offered up for them to use to market their product or service. So, why Google+ Event? Google+ Events offers a unique way to bring together people. Yes, believe it or not consumers are people. The Google+ Events features is used to announce an event organized for everyone to view something..to learn something or just be together.

Now that Google has enhanced the Google+ mobile app to include Events even more people can be part of the event. The ability to communicate with other people at the event, while at the event or not, is the biggest opportunity businesses miss by not using Google+ Events.  Businesses underestimate the reach the Google+ Events can have.

The ability to market to those not at the event is what businesses are not aware they can do.  Non-attendees of the event can share what is going on with others they know who are not at the event.

So, why aren’t businesses..business networking groups…Major League Baseball teams..(the list goes on…)..not using Google+ Events.  The answer…I DONT KNOW!

The process is pretty simple.  Organize an event, function, seminar, staff meeting, church social…or whatever..and then create a Google+ Event to send out to those who you want to attend.  Yes, you can pretty it up with a custom banner and an awesome selection of well placed words describing the event.  You can even schedule a G+ Hangout to be part of the Event.  Then once you hit the button to sent it, the awesomeness begins.

Everyone who accepts the invitation to attend will be able to communicate on the G+ Event Page with each other while they are at the event or with people who were not able to physically attend the event.  Photos and videos can be posted in the G+ Event Stream that highlight the action of the event as it takes place.

Best Way to Get Noticed

Then afterwards..all of the content obtained from the interaction from the attendees can be reviewed over and over..or shared with others who missed the entire event.

Businesses need to get on board with what G+ offers as a whole.  The value is there for business who dedicate their efforts to being on the Google+ platform for more than 10 minutes.

Bottomline:  You gotta use Google+ if you plan on getting an ROI from your time spent online.
