OK, let’s make this simple. The blog is the center of every business’ digital footprint. If you or your business does not blog you should be.
Why blog? Blogging provides validation of a business’ intelligence concerning the importance of their digital footprint. Blogs offer an abundance of content for viewers to read. This content promotes the business’ value proposition. So, it is very important you and your business blog.
So, now that you are aware of the importance of blogging let’s take a look at 3 Things to Consider to Improve Your Blog Posts.
1. Relevance
Remember, you are blogging to interest Real People. If you are blogging to appease computer programs you would write it in code and post it on Twitter. So, make sure you write it so a person can read it.
Make your content relevant to someone’s interest. Preferably to your consumers. Keep the blog to less than 500 words..after that, if you have not gotten to a point it would be better to make the blog into a series of blog posts.
2. Graphical
Always place graphics in the post so as to capture the viewer’s attention. If you are good at a graphics program, create your own. If you have a nice camera laying around..and no the importance of lighting, then us it. If you have neither, there are a number of sites only you could use to purchase graphics. Just never pull a graphic from someone else’s site.
Make sure the graphic, photo or image is relevant to the content.
3. Social
Place a link to the blog in a social space that provides not only value but has greater promise of being seen. Google+ is the ONLY place providing a blogger with a better chance of the content being read and/or found by real people. Remember, it is all about being social..so tell your viewers why they should take a look at the blog.
Following these three steps will improve your viewership.
