One thing I really enjoy about Google+…well, actually there is more than one..but, if I had to narrow it down to just one thing I really like about Google+ is its awesomeness.

Yes, I used the word awesome became since the launch of Google+ it has done nothing less for me than a number of awesome things.  Like…from the beginning of my debut on Google+ in July 2011 my blogs started showing up on Google Search…my email lit up with people asking me questions and..gasp…wanting to hire me!!  How cool is that….NO..not COOL..awesome.  That was not happening on the other less-awesome social spaces

I will have to admit thought, there is no perfection on the internet and Google+ has a few less-awesome features along with some features that are not-awesome at all.  If you are a follower of my blog you know which ones are not-awesome.  But enough of that less-awesome talk about Google+.

What Else Is Awesome About Google+?

What other social space has three awesome ways to identify the name of the platform?  You can call it…Google+…or Google Plus…or G+.  How awesome is that?  Well not as awesome as some of the features, but still, it shows how versatile Google+ is.

This week, (October 30th 2013) Google put on an awesome presentation introducing over 14 new updates and new features for Google+.  Yes..the awesomeness from Google just keeps rolling out.

Hangouts Awesomeness

The most awesome features of Google+ are the Hangouts…yes..there are two Hangouts..how awesome is that?

There is the regular Hangout..which now is part of the Gtalk Chat.  The Hangout/Chat is probably the most used feature of G+ because it can be used for private talks with other awesome Plussers.

Then there is the Hangout On Air..or more commonly referred to in the Plusserverse as an HOA.  The HOA is the showcase of Google+’s awesomeness and this past week Google enhanced the HOA to near perfect awesomeness.  I say ‘Near’ since there are still a few tics that need to be worked out, but overall, the new look, the cleaner screen and the overall awesome-factor just went up a knock. But guess what???….Google has more coming for the Google+ Hangout On Air.  How awesome is that???

Gotta Get Awesome

If you are not using HOA’s for your business you probably are going to be less-awesome than your competitors who probably using Google+ more.  But..I am not going to go down the less-awesome road because it is becoming easier everyday for everyone to become awesome with the use of Google+ Hangouts.

Get Awesome Training

Warnings are still in order here and should be made to keep you from becoming less-awesome.

If you are new to G+ or have been G+ soaking in the awesomeness but not yet dug into all that Google Plus can offer, it could be time to get some help..or awesome training.

Make sure to get help or trained by someone who actually uses Google+ and uses G+ everyday.  There are a large number of less awesome Plussers who are out to use G+ training to draw attention to what they do professionally which generally is not awesome.  These G+ trainers generally are not versed to the changes are not connected to Google representative or the G+ communities where the finer points of G+ are communicated.

I get emails from people weekly who have received incomplete or misleading information that will get them kicked off Google+.  This is not-awesome!
