I haven’t reported for awhile on what is new around the office and studio. Since the first of the year, my taking on the Director of Operations at KEYimage Media, along with me still managing all my other business ventures, has been, to say the least, thrilling.
So, what is new with KEYimage Media?
After launching KEYimage Media’s three phase business revitalization plan in February, we are finally getting to phase three. The first two phases had to do with matching the business capabilities with a new state of the art studio and beefing up the marketing campaign to target audiences. The third phase has to do with returning to the community and offering learning experiences for anyone interested in finding out more about the number one online social space…Google+.
Dallas Plussers Network
All summer long, Mark Neace and I toiled over how best to approach getting more people to understand the virtues of Google+. We already had in the business plan to offer formal G+ training classes focusing on what G+ could really do for a business. Since everything G+ has to offer clearly was set towards generating interaction the next step was to take the online interaction offline to the real world and…real people.
In June we started the development of the Dallas Plussers Network which is being launched on Aug 28th.
Purpose
The purpose of the group was to gather the Google+ enthusiast located in the Dallas area for a monthly sharing event. The venues for the sharing events will be mixed with an assortment of different monthly forums ranging from breakfasts with me, happy hours at different locations around Dallas, to formal training sessions on a particular Google+ feature. As the community grows there will be speakers brought in to speak to the group on other applications featuring Google+. From there, we see where the Dallas Plussers Network goes.
Mission
The Mission of the Dallas Plussers Network is to create a greater awareness of what the Google+ platform does and can do to enhance a person’s or business’ presence online. And, to provide a venue where people can come learn more about Google+.
We are starting off naturally with a G+ Page and a MeetUp.com Group to facilitate the announcements of the gatherings. There will be a LIVE HangOut On Air (HOA) (provided by KEYimage Media) produced at every gathering. A new Wed-site and logo are currently in the works.
