If you have used Google+ then you know how powerful of a social network it has become. The power of the search is incredible on Google+.
However, if you don’t watch out there are something’s that can get you Blocked from many users of G+.
So, let’s cut to the chase..here are 6 Tips to Keep From Being Blocked on G+.
1. Post a Photo
The quickest way to be Ignored on G+ is to not post a photo of yourself. There is no secret of the MO of the people who do not post a self photo. Odds are if they have already have a few hundred or thousand people in their Circles and a very few who have placed in their circle they are up to No Good!!
These people. places or things are more commonly known as Knuckleheads. Well, Hello Mr. Knucklehead..let me introduce you to my little friend..the Ignore Button. Next stop is the Block Button if they are seen again.
It is also common practice now to change the default floating bubbles image in the profile banner. The image you place in the banner header plays a huge role on if someone is going to accept you or not. Place an image that describes your interest in the space. It will help.
2. Don’t Post as a Business on a Personal Profile Page
OH, this is a No-No! You are not suppose to set up a business in the Personal Profile space. Period.. This is the quickest way to get Blocked and Reported. The concept here is to be personable on your personal profile and even more personable on the Business Pages G+ offers. Doing business in the personal space will get you Blocked very quickly.
3. Complete Profile
Yes, if you want to be ignored totally, do no post anything in your Profile Info. Google makes it very simple for everyone to post something about themselves. It even strengthens your appeal to others if you let them know where in the world you are located..not the exact address, but what city or country..we are all on earth, so don’t put Earth..that is not funny anymore.
The personal profile is the bases of socializing on G+. Plussers go to a person’s profile to learn more about YOU. If nothing is there..bye-bye. Here comes the Block Button again. (Yes, Plussers can be tough on people trying to be someone or something they are not)
4. Write Compelling Posts
One of the main things Google+ looks for in it’s never ending search of content is compelling information. Now, compelling means a number of things that relate to being interesting or sharing something others want to read.
Porn is not compelling and is not something everyone wants to see or hear about. Posting the same link over and over to some MLM business is not what people want to know about.
Keep this kind of posting up and you will get Blocked. Make your time on G+ worth being here. Self promotions are so Old School Marketing I am not sure there are any graduates of that school around anymore.
Marketing online now is all about being social..so post something social or humorous and you will be welcomed to more G+ circles.
5. Interaction
Interaction with others on G+ is almost mandatory. If someone places a personal profile on G+ and only posts and make no interaction with anyone, Google may come calling . If someone responds to a post it is best to reply or interact. Lack of interaction is also looked at by many Plussers on whether or not they will place you in your circle..or Block you as a spammer.
6. Don’t Post Non-stop Animated .gif Files
If there is one thing that really starts to becoming an irritant is the millions of animated .gif files people post. It is ok to watch one or two, but the never ending repeating of the same scene over and over just gets irritating…not to mention the bandwidth it eats up. To keep from getting Blocked..go easy with the .gif files. Might be better to not post them at all since the trend is to Block people instead of just Muting the files.
Getting Blocked or Ignored is really anti-productive and defeats the purpose of being on a social network. I am glad Google takes their social network serious and Blocks the people out here for unknown reasons. Policing their site will pay off for them.
It’s all about social people..so let’s Get After It! Let me know how I can help.

Nice article Scott. I just don’t get why folks get on a social network and then, become unsociable.
