Ways to be Unsocial Online

November 15, 2012 By Scot Duke

Since there are so many people, places and things setting up shop in the social space who obviously are struggling on understanding how social networking works for their social media, I thought I might just give them a hand in doing a better job of being Unsocial.  To make it easy on them, since I also am aware their patience runs short on getting accurate information, I have broke down the different Ways to be UnSocial.

Post Nothing

This has to be the number one thing to do if you are striving for excellence in being Anti-Social.  Setting up expensive page templates and elaborate profiles and then posting absolutly nothing online anywhere is perfect if you are not interested in being seen or heard..or your product being see or heard.

Post Links Only

Yes, this one runs a very close second to not posting anything because unless you tell me why I should look at the link posted then why should I take a look?  Again, a little info on your thoughts on the subject would help..doesn’t have to be much..something like..this link will help…that would be a start.  Showing there is a human posting the link would really help, but wait..you are wanting to be Unsocial so don’t do that because real people will react to you being social.

Don’t Respond to Comments

Anyone hung up on excelling to be unsocial knows responding to anyone is the biggest No-No.  The last thing someone honing their excellence in being unsocial would want to do is to respond to someone’s comment, question or praise.  That would show there is a human being present and that means there is someone who cares sitting behind the logo or photo of a capricorn posted in the profile avatar. No, responding would be too risky since it would result into having to establish trust. Plus, eventually responding to remarks would lead to having to hire someone to handle the volumes of comments and questions consumers seem to always ask.

Yes, beingUnsocial online is a fulltime position and should be taken very seriously especially if your business is to go out of business.  So, if you are one of the ten’s of thousands of people and business who choice to be Unsocial online keep up that good work..oh but wait, you wouldn’t be reading this anyway so what difference will it make?

Let me know how I can help.
