This question is asked of me on average at least once a day.  It is a fair question and is a question I ask myself almost as frequently.  I wonder if others ask this question of themselves?  Maybe they should.  It opens my eyes each time I search for the REAL answers.

Beyond the Obvious

I know I have posted a few times what I do and capable of doing professional.  I am pretty open to the fact I am available and actively looking for employment or project needing my experience.  My resume is not hidden and I see it being read a number of times each day.  For that I thank those who are interested enough to learn more about what I can help you with.

What I have found hard, or near impossible, to do is list all of the things I am capable of doing that is outside the formal base of my training.  I find sometimes my interest leaning towards new type of endeavors as being of great interest to me.  What they are..well..like I said..the list is too long to maintain. 

I have been fortunate to be involved in so many things not part of the mainstream of my previous career.  What they all had in common is problem solving and extreme use of innovative thinking.  Of course, many of them were totally fun and off the wall good times, but even then to maintain the fun there were problems to solve.  Who did the others on the team lean on to figure out a way out of a non-fun jam?  Who else..Me!

Change Manager

One thing common to all the problems I have dealt with is they all were part of some Change!  Change causes so many people to freak out.  I know because I have freaked a few times with some of the major changes dish up in my life.  However, looking back..and then forward..the solutions I found then are now the same solutions needed today to deal with the change many people and businesses are facing.  This is just one of the Things I do!

History Repeats

For years people have attempted to fight the fact history repeats itself.  Every generation thinks it can avoid what has happened years gone by and some actually do postpone the inevitable.   Unfortunately, sometime during the trek they make in life or business what has proven to be the results of previous attempts to temp fate comes at them with vengeance.  What I have found after meeting some of these people is they avoided getting advice or bringing on staff someone who has gone thru the mess they are approaching.  Mentoring people and businesses around the potholes in the information highway is another thing I do!

So Now What?

The list of things I can do just goes on and on.  Newer things like social media and social networking are becoming adventures I also have gained tremendous practical experience on how they REALLY work.  New is always the future and dealing with change in the future is what I do…can’t seem to get away from it.
