As I sat down for my bi-weekly blogging session I was finding it hard to take my attention away from my Google Plus feed.  What a fascinating social platform.  

On the screen was a question being discussed which got me to thinking..Why Do I Use G+?

OK..let me count the reasons.

Searchability

This fact is the clearest of all of the reasons for using G+.  Having my content immediately searchable will play a much bigger part of why I use G+ once the business pages arrive.  Getting use to this fact and setting up the right communities on G+ is what everyone who is online to promote their business should be spending a lot of time doing right now.

Clean

What I mean my saying G+ is clean is there is no trash to take out or walk through to get to content of interest.  Thee are no blatant self promotions.  Sure I may have to slide by a few “Quotes” that some people still feel offers value and, yes, there are those GIF files that can be cute for the first ten seconds, but even with these small obstacles the view on G+ is much cleaner than the other social spaces.

Clear Tone

The Tone of voice people use on G+ is clearer.  Even the angry rants come across balanced for some reason.  It could be that people can express themselves better on G+ with the larger font than on other social gathering places.  The overall feel of G+ is positive and friendly.

Visual Supreme

As far as viewing graphics and photos without opening them up to full screen, the G+ feed does an excellent job.  The main column format also keeps the focus to the middle of the page where there is plenty of real estate to use to effectively communicate.

Quality

I probably could have started off with how Google Plus’s quality is forthcoming.  The type of person I am finding here on G+ is the same as who I find on Facebook, but for some reason they act and present themselves on G+ with higher quality.  This quality of content and personalities will grow once G+ moves to the next level of communication.

Comfortable

Comfort plays part in being a huge reasons why I spend so much time on G+.  Sure, not all my contacts are over here yet so the comfort here is not based on seeing the same people.   The comfort here is everything fits.    

There are more reasons for me being G+ that are developing.  Many of the reasons probably are the reasons you are using G+ or should be using it.  For those who are not compelled to use G+ I am sure they have their reasons.  The good thing about all of this is the reason for doing anything can change.
