Every business owner or executive is going to have to deal with riding out the bucking bronco of the changing economy we have today. Those companies that make changes to their business plans will be able to hang on for the full 8 seconds to survive while those who can’t or won’t make the change in their business to deal with the economy will not make it. In reality that 8 seconds could be 8 years.
Like any experienced cowboy of a business person who has been through this rodeo of an economy before knows…it all comes down on what ‘Ride’ you choose. Pick a good one and you will make it…pick a bad one and you won’t. So how does someone who has not been to a rodeo like this…or gone through a recession on the verge of a depression like we are in today… know what ride to pick? Best advice…get help in making the right change..or..get Change Capable.
This week, in the Mr Business Golf Show, Krista Hartman and I touch on the subject of Change and the need for more small businesses to face the fact that learning to deal with change, or better yet, becoming Change Capable, is much better than being forced to changed. The message we make was very simple..its OK to fear change and it is the right thing to do to seek HELP in the form of a business coach or mentor to help you find the change that works for you.
When you look at the headlines today to see all of the acquisitions of businesses and companies closing doors after a very long run, you are looking at history changing the world. Then when you see new businesses launching and announcing their IPO you are actually witnesses Change for towards the future. Those who fight change lose every time and those who change to avoid being left behind succeed.
However, it is knowing when to change and what direction to take that determine success. Experienced advice and logical processing of information helps in making the right change at the right time.
Thinking you have the strength and finances to hold on to the bucking bronco economy we are in today maybe costly and wrong thinking. It all comes down to knowing what you are getting into before you take the ride that will give you a fighting chance.
Let me know how I can help.
