As you see, my blog is changing. And, as you saw in the preceding post, I am moving my Mr Business Golf blogs to its own home.
What does this mean?
Well, first off not much will change here with the exception of all my blogs on Business Golf and related subjects will be placed over there leaving this site for me to be me!
Why Change?
As you know (or should know) I do a lot of surveys and ask people a lot of questions to gain a clear understanding of what people are really thinking. Over the past year I spent a lot of time talking to people like you who read my blog, comment and really get what social media is all about, to find out more about what you like or dislike about my blog. From these conversations I get information on where I need to change and how people viewed me from what I do and say online.
The message I received was clear that I was ‘confusing’ people on what it is ‘I do’! I have to plead guilty..I was not painting a very clear picture here on my blog due to me talking about so many interesting subjects. Since I was running into so many non-golfers, people who do not understand golf and..yes..unfortunately, the ‘golf haters’ I felt pulled the heavy golf blogs out of the mix would get these people to listen. So, as part of my business’ reorganization, to set up different sites for the different markets I support, I decided to pull the Mr Business Golf out of this site and make it stand alone.
This move allows me to now talk about all kinds of stuff that REALLY matter. Plus, these posts will not cloud the business golf efforts. Frankly, as I sit here to write this blog I am not sure what exactly I will do different outside of not posting golf business specific blogs. However, once I rest up a bit from the none stop web-designing and creating I have been working on for two months now, I might see there are other things to blog about here.
Back to Twitter
Now that I have got things sorted out here I will go back to developing my Digital Media Footprint by going back to using Twitter. I will still be honoring my Social Media Manifesto so nothing will change with how I use to Tweet. My presence on Twitter will be a little more focused and informational and of course..humorous when the mood hits me. I still feel Twitter’s creator can do a better job managing the the platform and find it comforting to learn many of the things I have brought to their attention has got them to thinking of the damage they are causing the community who supports them. Having been on Twitter since the beginning and I have seen a lot of coming and going. Since I know there are changes coming on Twitter..I thought I would get into the thick of things over there again to be part of those positive changes.
Let the Conversation Begin
Of course, I will be over on Facebook and hope more people will stop by to visit. I am a firm believer that knowledge is the key to happiness in life and the only way knowledge can be achieved is through conversation….yes, in more than 140 characters. The conversation is there on Facebook and the knowledge is being shared. Hope to see you over there.
So, there you have it..the change is made and look for more to come. Let me know how I can help.
