Why the heck do I need to blog? Why is it called Blogging? Why do I have to be referred to as a Blogger? What am I to blog about? Who reads my Blog? What impact on my life or business does Blogging improve?
As you can see, the questions someone new to blogging ask can be stupid or brilliant. Nonetheless, the questions are normal and part of the process every blogger goes through when they get started.
Why Blog
The biggest question to answer has to do with Why someone would want to blog. I suppose there are those rare instances where someone should not be blogging but for the life of me I cannot think of any. Everyone has a story to tell and blogging is a way to do it.
Yes, blogging does take effort and like anything else in life, or business, it takes a bit of time to get the hang of it. Understanding why you are blogging is what keeps people blogging..and focused on what they are blogging about.
There are still a very large number of REAL experts in business, and in life, who have real things to say. However, most avoid blogging due to the number one challenge everyone has..lack of time.
I hear it all the time…It is a busy world and time is value and blah blah blah. If you are one of those who say you do not have time to blog let me point out that the time you have spent reading this far into my blog you could have written a blog.
I have not found anyone who does not have the time to blog. I will admit, the time it takes to learn all the technical issues surrounding blogging does take time, but that is all part of the initial learning curve of blogging. If you are out here reading this blog you are half way through the requirements to writing a blog.
The reasons people blog and why someone should blog are more numerous than the reason why someone should not blog. I suggest to those who do not blog they should at the very least try it. Even if what they blog is on their trip to the store. That incidence could lead into doing blogs about grocery shopping or reviews on what is new in the stores.
Just the act of starting to write a blog on something generally stirs up some hidden passion that someone has inside their head. Many times just blogging can help settle a person. So, the reason to blog is to let others know what you think..tell people how to do something..or show people who you really are.
The questions new bloggers ask are all very healthy. Yes, years after a blogger has been blogging they will look back to see how stupid some of their questions where, but that is all why at the beginning there are no real stupid questions about blogging.
Relationships Ignited
One of the by-products a new blogger will quickly experience from blogging is in the people they will meet from the comments on their blog. Yes, it is shocking for newbies at first to see someone is actually reading their stuff, but after a while they find they are getting into the whole social media thing.
Eventually the new blogger will venture out to find out how far their blogs reach by jointing Facebook. From there..well, they are not New Bloggers anymore and well on their way to understand the benefits of blogging.
If you are not blogging, try it. Let me know how I can help.
