It seems like I have blogged about this before and it could be. Having now been blogging for almost five years I have covered a lot of ground and a lot of subjects. My blog log may not show the complete number of blogs I have written and the reason for that is due to a computer virus I got a year ago that destroyed my blog back-up and database of over 2500 blog posts. But, that is another story to tell..the fact is, I have blogged about a lot of stuff.
I blog mostly about golf and the things touching the business of golf as well as how golf can be used as a business tool. I found over the years many golfers who think they knew how golf works as a business tool but failed miserably when putting their efforts into practice. So, I help golfers and non-golfers alike understand the correct ways of going about using golf in business as well in their personal life.
However, I go several steps further in blogging about the things businesses, including golf businesses, need to do to work in today’s economy. I blog on the practice of Social Media which in Golf must be a total mystery to most golf businesses since there are so few of them who know how to use social media effectively. There are even a number of golf bloggers who are missing the boat on how social media works.
So, I search out the things golfers need to do to survive in today’s economy. There are enough golf fitness blogs and golf gadget blogs and golf news feed blogs and bloggers blogging on what they think is golf issues but are more of a blog for a promotion of a mega sport site that features more team sports but needs the golf viewership to substantiate their advertising rates. And all kinds of bloggers who just take on the top of golf news items in hopes it will generate traffic to their site so they can sell their affiliate programs…but I digest..kinda. This stuff is not why I Blog.
I really blog in hopes what I offer helps. I hope what I offer helps a person understand more about an issue than just what is being shouted on Twitter or Facebook. On the most part I hope what I blog is found at the very least to be entertaining. But most importantly I really hope that someone is reading my blog.
The reason I blog is also part of my effort to build a NEW community of golfers online. I blog to create a gathering of golfers who are looking for purpose in golf more than trying to hit the golf ball like Tiger Woods..or whoever is their hero is in golf. I blog about a place I am creating that is more than swing tips and golf equipment comparisons. I say it is more than these things because these things are part of a golf community. However, there is more to what a golfer is looking for than a tee time.
The most important reason why I golf about business is golf is to offer more people a true purpose to play golf. I am a strong adversary to the fact business people play a huge part in the golf economy and to play golf as part of doing business is not only good for their business but good for Golf. I am allover anything good for golf and the Business Golf Country Club is one reason why I blog.
Things that are good for golf is good for the economy as a whole. The goodness of golf is why I blog. The goodness in business is why I blog. The goodness in all things in between like social media and business networking is also why I blog.
So if there was ever a doubt in why I am blogging it is now clear to me. I hope it is clear to you. Let me know how I can help.

I enjoyed the post. It made me question the reasons that I'm blogging, and gave me insight. The use of SM in the golf business is behind the times when compared to other business models. Keep on keeping on, and I will add you to my RSS.
