It’s this time of year when I reflect on all that has been accomplished over the year. Of course, there is no way to not review accomplishments without reviewing what was not accomplished. Some people would say it is the review of good and bad or the ‘what could have been’ with what ‘was’.
In talking to many of my associates over the past few weeks I ask them how their year went. What I find in common with all of their remarks turns out to be their comparison of the people that deceived them of their accomplishments verses the people who help them achieve their accomplishments this year by meeting or exceeding their commitments.
I think we have all been there, especially if you build business partnerships from online only acquaintances. How many business people have you met online who want to talk business development, have a plan to working together to accomplish some entrepreneurial endeavor and do not hold up to their end of the bargain? If this has not happened to you, your very lucky.
I am talking to more and more people who in this global economy are interested in enhancing their revenue horizons by working with the vast wealth of talented people, me included, who can help accomplish the goal. Unfortunately, many of the people willing to go after entrepreneurial endeavors do so with less than the commitment needed to accomplish the goal.
However, there are also success stories. There is still hope for the internet producing more than scammers. Reports are coming in that many successful business partnerships have developed from people who have never meet each other in person. It is rare but starting to improve with more people with basic integrity coming online.
I am excited to here some good news for a change. Maybe more people will take this good news over the bad news and start finding ways to trust a person better so more business endeavors can succeed.
I guess I will keep an eye on how the New Year develops to see if more positive comes out of the internet than has been produced over the past five years. One can only hope. Let me know how I can help.
