This time of year is the most exciting part for me. The temperatures are mild, sunny, the Spring bloom is on, the trees are coming on with full green and the golf courses are going thru their change from winter brown to spring green. Spring time is the beginning of the golf season for me and I really enjoy each opportunity I get to step on the tee and gaze down the fairway of a golf course…any golf course.
I have seen a lot of golf courses over the years. No matter if they are cut out of a cow pasture in far east Texas or the red rock foothills of Sedona, AZ, each of those golf courses have a memory and their own beauty.
I am asked frequently….
What brings me to golf?
And there is just not clearly one thing I can say that brings me to playing golf or being part of golf. However, if I had to choose one it would the beauty of the seasonal changes the golf course presents. Too many times we do not really take in the beauty nature creates as the seasons change. Most people take it for granted. I know sometimes in my efforts to make a living I also loose site of what is going on outside around me. But, golf brings that opportunity to take notice. Without golf…well, I would be like many of you sitting here in front of a monitor staring at a lot of words on how golf can really change your point of view on life.
As I mentioned, there are a number of things that bring me to golf. Like solitude, camaraderie, business development, relationship building, learning…just to mention the ones on my mind right now. When you add the opportunity to fill your senses with color and dimension..well, that is where it gets hard for me to really describe the true emotions around what beings golf to be so dear to me.
Truly, all of this is what brings me to golf, but I would like to also think that all of this is why I want YOU to play golf. My drive to help golf is part of what brings me to golf. To help golf I, and everyone like me who loves golf, need to help golf. To help golf we need to get more people to play golf or at least stay with golf during these hard times. Each golfer has within them the ability to make a difference and that would be, if nothing else, to step out on the tee and play a round of golf….that is what the golf course is for, so support it.
The beauty of the golf courses is made for the golfer. No matter if you are a ranked beginner or play at the highest levels of competitive golf, there is one place that each of those people can stand together….the golf course. Everyone who plays golf should enjoy what they see since that is part of golf and is part of what brings a golfer to playing golf.
Standing out on the driving range really does not paint the picture of what golf is all about. Unless the driving range is in golf heaven, or other place where the training facility is made part of the environment, but on the most part, the driving range does not provide a view of what golf truly is all about.
So, get out, find out what golf is about so you can experience what the heck it is I am talking about. Because ONLY a golfer can experience and appreciate the beauty golf creates for the senses…come on out and join me and millions of others ..will ya?
Bring Golf to You.
Since bring golf and the opportunities golf brings to person’s personal and professional health is what I do, my mission will be to highlight opportunities available for YOU to experience what more than likely is going to bring you to golf. I have been talking about this for sometime now on how more people need to get into golf, so now it is my time to do what I can to help golf and help you to bring golf to being part of your personal and professional life.
Sooooo, Stay tuned..I will be back shortly to bring some wonderful opportunities to your computer monitors..that you will not want to miss.
